Wellington Foodtown

WOW, WHAT A WEEKEND!

yes, after a highly succesful launch in 2006, the 2007 Foodtown event was even better. Lots of people visiting the town, and enjoying idealic weather along with lots of tasty foods; in short a top event.

Spoilt with wonderful weather, especially on the Saturday, the Wellington Food Festival drew impressive crowds to the town.

Our stall was packed with Cheeses, Olives, Brownes Chocolates, Teonis cookies and Tyrrells Crisps, and the girls struggled to keep up with demand!.

The shop was also busy, as people escaped the crowds and enjoyed cooling off in our airconditioned calm!. (Whilst trying a few tasters, such as Somerset Cider Brandy, our tasty Chunk Pies, Tyrrells Crisps and West Country Meringues with Clotted Cream & Strawberrys!)

Our lucky draw Hamper was extremely popular, and with free entry, many people did take the opportunity to make a donation to our 2007 Charity, "Macmillen Cancer".

Our "guess how many Jelly Bellys" are in the Jar kept both young and old busy, and was a very popular activity on our stall.

Entrys for both competitions remain open until the end of British Food week, so you still have time to enter.

Big thank yous to our suppliers, Somerset Cider Brandy, Miles Tea & Coffee, Duchy Biscuits, Walkers Shortbreads, Epicure, Exmoor Ales, West Country Meringues and Tyrrells for their generous support.
