Henriques Madiera Malmsey Style 50cl 19% 10 Year

This Madeira is made solely from Malmsey, one of four classic grape varies on Madeira. Fortified and aged in Estufagem, or dockside warehouses, the wine oxidises, giving it its characteristic colour and flavour.

In 10 Year form, Henriques Malmsey has flavours of Christmas cake and flaming plum pudding on the nose with touch of burnt sugar. Intense and sweet in the mouth with a rich, caramel-like finish. Intense coffee and raisin aromas with caramel and complex spicy aromas. Luxurious sweetness, silky textured fruit on the palate, bracing acidity and integrated fortifying spirit with a fantastic finish.

Henriques & Henriques, or H&H Full Rich Madeira is a dark, full-bodied, fruity, luscious, fragrant sipping wine. Probably the most famous name associated with Madeira, Malmsey is the English name for the wines made from the Malvasia Candida grape, a variety which is quite widely planted throughout the Mediterranean.

This rich sweet Madeira is laced with a fine tangy fruitiness. It is traditionally served with coffee, nuts or rich, old-fashioned fruit cake. It makes a perfect digestif as well, and as a 'malmsey-style' of wine, is ideal served as a dessert wine, and pairs well with rich foods, especially chocolate.
