Tapanappa Wrattonbully Cabernet Shiraz 75cl 13.5%

Wrattonbully Cabernet Shiraz has very ripe fruit flavours produced from the exceptionally small 2007 vintage. Despite the ripeness the alcohol is in balance and the silky ripe tannins meld with the ripe fruit flavours. This is a red with pedigree; a nephew of one of Australia’s all-time great reds, the famous 79 Petaluma Coonawarra.

Tapanappa Cabernet Shiraz retains the elegant structure and the earthy, anise and Eucalypt smoke flavours of the Joanna, Wrattonbully terroir.

On the nose there is a complex array of flavours with brambly, curranty fruit vying with smoky, spicy aniseed notes. On the palate there is fresh acidity to balance the sweet, concentrated fruit while fresh eucalyptus flavours help to bring a lifted quality to the whole.

Bottled in February 2009 without filtration. Only 400 cases made
