TUNWURTH CHEESE

Tunworth is our own, very British, Camembert. Its a soft, white-rinded cheese wonderfully reminiscent of its French sibling. Tunworth is made markedly different thanks to the rounded green hills and lush grazing of its rural Hampshire terroir. Despite being refined and perfected over the years Tunworth is still made entirely by hand ? from the first ladle of pasteurised whole cow?s milk to the waxed paper wrap and poplar box packaging.

What to drink with Tunwurth?  Choose one of our Crisp English sparkling wines from Furleigh Estate, or an oaked Chardonnay, as these are the best drinks to pair with creamy, Camembert-style Tunworth cheese. Prefer Red Wine? Then enjoy with an Aged Bordeaux or Beaujolais, as lighter or mature reds with soft tannins can work well if you prefer red wine over white.

Cider and IPA and Pale Ales are also enjoyable partners. The finished 250g cheese has a soft, thin and wrinkled rind, a rich and earthy mushroom fragrance, and a long-lasting sweet and nutty flavour.
