The Cheese and Wine Shop uses Royal Mail - Terms and Conditions

Choosing a delivery day;

When checking out, you will choose the delivery option below (or Store Pickup if collecting from the shop, here in Wellington)

You then choose the delivery day, selecting the arrow to move to the next month

If there is any change to this, we will email or call you, but otherwise, your goods will arrive on, or before the day you have selected.

On occassion, we may dispatch your goods before this date if they are available. If you want delivery on the chosen date, please mark this in the Note field, otherwise we may dispatch for delivery as soon as we receive the stock, latest being the day you have chosen.

Please ensure you are in, or leave instructions for a safe place for the courier. Once the parcel has been dispatched, you will be able to liaise directly with the courier using the email link.

Cheeses; We strongly recommend selecting a Next Day by 1.00pm service, especially during the summer months, or during warm spells. If you don`t, and select our standard Delivery, these are sent overnight from us on a next day delivery service. Delivery time is anytime from 8.00am to 5.00pm.

All orders will be notified by email the day your order is shipped. 

A signature is required to acknowledge delivery. In order to give your cheese the best chance of getting to you in optimum condition we highly recommend adding a note in the box provided in the checkout of a suitable place to leave the order if you are not in or an alternative delivery address such as a nearby neighbor. NB this must be in the same street or within the immediate vicinity since a delivery to an extra address will be liable to an extra fee.

Non Chilled Delivery's; You can choose a next day, or the cheaper 2 day option where available. 

Royal Mail Tracked 24 Delivery aim next day from dispatch. As such, this IS NOT guranteed, only "Royal Mails aim". This is subject to Royal Mails terms, which can be seen here.

Courier delivery times are for guidance and are not a guarantee. We can not take responsibility for length of delivery time once an item is dispatched from us.

If you select a delivery date please bear in mind that while we will always ship an order the day before this date we use a third party courier and delays can happen. If your order is for an event such as a birthday, a party or a wedding we would always recommend arranging the delivery a good 3-4 days before the event, assuming you have enough storage space.

If your order is a gift we will send it as quickly as possible and therefore, in the rare event of any specific cheese stock shortage we will substitute a cheese with a like for like replacement so as not to delay the shipment.

Please note this if you don`t want a replacement and would prefer to cancel.

Delivery is only working days and Saturdays therefore we ship orders to arrive Wednesday to Friday, or Saturday if selected. We do not deliver ON Mondays or Tuesdays.

Please note that certain parts of the British Isles including the Islands and the Scottish Highlands are harder to get to and therefore increase the chance of longer delivery times.

For this reason Saturday deliveries and choosing a delivery date are not available to these areas.
