Collection: Colston Basset Blue Stilton

This award-winning dairy, developed from an idea by Dr. William Windley, has been making world-class, outstanding cheeses using traditional methods for over 100 years. The traditional farming co-operative was first established in 1913, and is located in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir, and has four local farms that provide Colston Basset with around 10,000 litres of milk a day.

Colston Basset cheeses are created by a highly skilled and dedicated team of cheesemakers still using original recipes handed down through generations. Made with pasteurised cow's milk in Nottinghamshire, this artisan cheese is hand-ladled to create a superior, smooth texture and is characterized by beautiful blue veining that develops with age. It's considered a "king of British blues" and is an excellent choice for cheese boards.

Considered by many of The Cheese and Wine Shops customers to be a gentle, rounded and balanced blue cheese, Colston Basett produces a creamy, buttery paste pierced with the delicate blue veining characteristic of a great Stilton.
