THE WHISTLER IRISH WHISKEY 70CL OAKED

From Ireland's Boann distillery, this Irish whiskey has been matured in a trio of different cask varieties. The blend brings together a combo of Irish single pot still, single malt, and single grain whiskey matured in a host of bourbon, oloroso, and Pedro Xim?nez casks for a rich, full-bodied character, layered with dried fruits, spices, toasted oak, and caramel. Nose; Butterscotch and toffee open the way, with toasted oak, vanilla, and spiced biscuits in tow. Palate; Fruit-studded flapjack, runny caramel, a smidge of sweet cinnamon and warming nutmeg. Finish; A touch of aged marmalade, candied nuts, subtle pepper, and honeyed oat cakes.
