great depth of flavour, with a wonderfully fresh juniper, lemony bite with deeper earthy notes. It has a slight sweetness with extraordinary concentration and complexity. No single botanical dominates the overall flavour. The finish is long and dry Its that smell. It is fabulous. Its got a really lovely junipery quality. But you can also actually feel the other rooty, earthy sort of flavourings in there. And when you come to taste it, its soft, its quite a strong spirit,...but its round and it doesnt attack you at all. Its a very nice gin indeed. Good with tonic Id say. Jilly Goolden, BBC Food & Drink programme A long-standing favourite tipple, Plymouth Gin was one of the few gins to have a geographic indication, obviously pertaining to its eponymous city. However, Plymouth Gin lost this indication in 2015, although it is still of course produced in the city. This is the original gin from the distillery, crafted from seven botanicals in a pot still with a rather short neck, and is blended with Dartmoor water. It is then bottled into the classic shaving bottle, with its distinctive green glass. If you keep gin in the house, this is the one to have Nigella Lawson, Vogue Magazine
