Dry, elegant, and seriously good value, this traditional method fizz from the Loire punches well above its weight. Taste green apple, lemon zest, and toasted brioche bubbles, with a fine mousse and clean mineral finish. It's Champagne in attitude, but Loire in price.

The fruity nose is dominating, along with white flower notes, honeysuckle and acacia flower aromas. On the palate, the bubbles are delicate, for a wine which is dry without being green or aggressive.

Current owner-winemaker Nicolas is at least the sixth generation of the Deniau family to farm this property. It was only in the 1970s that his father Michel extended the vineyard through the purchase of a 16 hectares plot from writer Gilbert Cesbron, and converted the farmland to vineyards. Nicolas followed in his father’s footsteps into winemaking, and even went one step further to study viticulture and oenology at the Lycée Agricole and Viticole of Amboise.

Crémant is a particularly memorable blend of Chenin (80%) and Chardonnay (20%) which spends as much as 60 months in the underground tuffeau caves.

Anything this fresh and fun will hold up to most foods you throw at it. A naughty but nice example would be fried fish goujons with tartare sauce and lemon juice, the wine will cut through the fattiness and lift the lovely citrus flavours.

What to eat with Crement De Loire? Oysters, sushi, fried chicken, or salty snacks for starters! Cheese wise, enjoy with Goat Cheese, a classic pairing. Young, creamy goat cheeses like Valençay, Selles-sur-Cher, or Crottin de Chavignol are ideal. Their tangy, lemony, and earthy flavors complement the crispness of the Crémant.
Brie de Meaux: A classic, creamy choice that matches the wine's acidity.
Brillat-Savarin: A luxurious triple-cream cheese that pairs perfectly with the wine's bubbles.
Camembert: An earthy, creamy option.
Chaource: A cakey, slightly savory cheese.
A young Comté from The Cheese and wine Shop is ideal: Its nutty, buttery, and slightly salty notes complement the fruitiness of the Chenin Blanc.
Delice de Bourgogne, Delice des Cremiers and St. André, as the rich, full-fat soft cheese partner Crement perfectilly.
