This 14 year old bourbon barrel reserve is glenfiddich's first whisky matured in two types of american oak barrel, new american oak barrels all the way from the kelvin cooperage in louisville, kentucky.

The ex-bourbon casks are the bedrock, giving an indulgent richness and sweetness after the malt master, Brian Kinsman, waits 14 years as the whisky matures. He then shakes it awake in deep-charred new oak barrels for a vivid and vibrant punch of vanilla, adding extra layers of richness and complexity.

Its vivid, rich and vibrant, the taste of glenfiddich 14 year old bourbon barrel with a copper oak colour, and a nose thats deep vibrant with vanilla notes, hints of citrus, caramalised brown sugar and cinnamon. Baked apple and ripe summer fruits and balanced with the rich oaky aromas. Its beautifully rich and sweet with layers of creamy toffee, woody spices, candied orange peel and fresh toasted oak, with a impressive finnis thats long lasting with lingering sweetness.
