A tribute to the 10 generations of the Ferrand family who have built up their eponymous Cognac house since 1630. The intricate traditional decanter is illustrated with their family tree, making it a wonderful collector's edition. Each of the ten generations of Cognac masters have added a unique twist to the knowledge of the vine and distillation; transposing their own character and graft into the precious nectar. Created using Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the Grande Champagne, its finesse comes as no surprise. The optimal maritime climate combined with chalky soil and limestone means that the light, floral nature of eaux-de-vie is highly desirable in a Cognac. This is aged in French oak with 20% in Sauternes casks, and retains a freshness despite its rich character. Cheeses to enjoy with this Cognac are our Aged parmesan, alongside Roquefort, and mature cheeses like Camembert and Manchego complement cognac well due to their rich, strong flavors.
