James Davy and the wine team will either ask producers to blend wine to a specific style, or taste many samples until they are completely satisfied that the wine chosen is indicative of its appellation, and is the very best it can be for the price point. This wine is a blend of varietals grown in the South of France and around Lyon. 8 to 10 days maceration under temperature control in order to maintain bright and fresh fruit aromas, then ageing for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Intense black fruits aromas, a touch of raspberry and delicate spicy notes. The palate is dry with soft tannis, vibrant black cherry and bramble fruits. Mainly made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache to add more body to the wine. Davy?s No1 Red is easy drinking, juicy and round, with aromas of red berry fruits. Perfect with pasta dishes.
