CLOS UROULAT JURANCON 2023 37.5CL 13%

A luscious yet vibrant sweet wine from the Pyrenean foothills, near the lovely town of Pau, this 16-hectare estate produces two very different styles of Jurançon in a region which is steeped in history. All of the  vines are trellised high at 2.5 metres to prevent damage from the spring frosts, and on average, the vines are over 20 years old.

Aromas of ripe apricot, quince, and honey, lifted by fresh citrus and a zesty mineral finish. Made from late-harvested Petit Manseng grapes, which retain high natural acidity while concentrating sugars and flavours. 

Produced by Charles Hours, one of Jurancon's leading winemakers, known for his dedication to showcasing the region's unique style, and a proponant of sustainable and organic farming.

The half-bottle format makes it ideal for sharing at the end of a meal. 

Pairs beautifully with foie gras, The Cheese and Wine Shops Blue cheeses, and alongside fruit tarts, or can be enjoyed simply on its own.
