BUNNAHABHAIN SINGLE ISLAY MALT WHISKY 12 YEAR 70CL 46%
BUNNAHABHAIN SINGLE ISLAY MALT WHISKY 12 YEAR 70CL 46%
This entry level bunnahabhain bottling comes in a redesigned bottle. This 12 year old is a light, fresh dram, bottled at the higher strength of 46.3% - for more complexity and flavour.
Almost zero smoke for an Islay but sweet with a hit of sherry and sultana. The finish is malty with a nice saltiness. All the flavours really seem to grab you by the throat and at 46.3% there's no surprise why. This 12 year old single malt is the youngest of Bunnahabhains current core range.
First launched in 1979 and re bottled at a higher strength to 46.3% in 2010, when they stated that its produced with no chill-filtration and no added colouring, this whisky is rich, full bodied and complex.
Tasting Note by Bunnahabhain Nose: Fresh and aromatic, fruity floral with hints of dried fruit and a subtle prevalence of smoke. Palate: Light with fruit notes, nutty flavours with a sweetness and slight hints of vanilla and caramel.
Finish: Lingering, beautifully rich and full-bodied.
