The Vineyards which are managed with sustainable farming have been grassed for the past 5 years. This reduces the growth of the vine and gives a better grape concentration. This Morgon Les Charmes opens with a jammy nose, with aromas of black fruit, candied cherries and fig. Its ruby red colour, intense and brilliant, reveals a wine of fine structure to the taste, associated with freshness and tight tannins. Its soft texture, lightly oaked precedes a persistant, complex, charming finish!

What to drink with this Morgon?  Beef Bourguignon as the traditional Burgundian beef stew matches the wine's earthy undertones and vibrant acidity. Slow-Roasted Lamb: The firm structure and fine tannins of the Morgon hold up well against rich, savory roasted lamb or grilled lamb chops. Charcuterie and Cured Meats: Salami, prosciutto, and cold cuts complement the wine's bright fruit and spice notes. Roasted Poultry Game Birds: Corn-fed chicken or roasted duck pairs nicely with the wine's supple palate and red fruit profile. Hearty Casseroles & Rustic French Stews: Slow-cooked braises and vegetable-meat claypots harmonize with the wine's weight and acidity. Pasta with Cream or Tomato Sauce Pizza: Rich tomato-based or cream-sauce pastas cut through the wine's balanced acidity and tannins.

Cheesewise, you want options that complement its vibrant acidity and earthiness without letting heavy dairy proteins clash with its light-to-medium tannins. So, youre thinking our Soft & Creamy Cheeses such as our Delice de Bourgogne, Brie de Meaux and Camemberts. These soft French cheeses are a classic pairing for a Morgon. The bright fruit acidity and subtle mineral streak of the Gamay grape act as a palate cleanser, cutting right through the luxurious, mushroomy creaminess of the rind and paste. Saint-Nectaire: This semi-soft, earthy cow's milk cheese from Auvergne mirrors the rustic, wet-stone, and earthy undertones found in the Chateau des Jacques.

Hard & Semi-Hard Cheeses like our Aged Gruyere, Cornish Kern and Comte: These alpine cheeses have enough dense protein to naturally soften the wine's light tannins. Their nutty, slightly sweet finish elevates the deeper spiced, plum, and black cherry notes of this Morgon.
