LONG CLAWSON SHROPSHIRE BLUE

Similar to Stilton but with an orange colouring, but curiously, never actually made in Shropshire. Medium blue flavour with a firm, creamy texture. Shropshire Blue is a full-bodied cheese with a creamy texture, rich flavour and distinctive blue veins. Traditionally made and lovingly matured, this mature and mellow cheese is the pride of Long Clawson. The perfect Blue Shropshire is rich orange in colour, with distinctive blue veining and a golden crust. It is best accompanied by one of our Cheddar Gorge Ales or, as with Stilton, by one of our Taylors, Grahams or Fonseca Ports.
