A crisp and expressive white from the Loire Valley, crafted mainly from Melon de Bourgogne with a touch of complementary varieties. The bouquet is lively with citrus, green apple and white flowers, accented by a hint of saline minerality. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with bright orchard fruit, racy acidity and a clean, mouthwatering finish. This is a dry and fresh style of wine designed to drink young. It is pale straw yellow in colour with an aromatic nose of exotic fruits and floral notes. The palate is clean and mineral with an abundance of citrus fruit and green apple.

About the Peoducer; One of the Loire's rising stars, Jerome Huchet is a fourth-generation winemaker making his mark in Muscadet. Having taken over the family estate in 2001, Jerome immediately went about purchasing some fantastic vineyards (which now total 64 hectares), and slowly converting everything to organic viticulture.

Jerome is absolutely committed to respecting Muscadet's ancient traditions, better understanding each plot he works with, and making world-class wines. He describes his philosophy best: 'The intelligence of the wine grower, from generation to generation, is his sense of observation. The endless walks he will take in "his" terroirs, the maintenance and the total respect for the microbic life of the soil, hand-harvesting, observing the age of the vine, the way it has been looked after, its replacement after its death. All these things must be done to maintain the integrity of the location." In the cellar he uses a combination of stainless steel vats and new underground concrete vats lined with glass, as well as concrete eggs.

What to eat with Chapeau Melon Blanc .... enjoy as an aperitif, but will also be perfect to accompany your Chicken and Pork, fish and also our cheeses such as ......

Goat Cheese, as the acidity and tang of goat cheese balance the wine's fruitiness beautifully.
Brie and Camembert; the soft, creamy, bloomy rind cheeses with nutty, sweet notes work wonderfully.
Gruyère: Its nutty, slightly sweet profile harmonizes with crisp whites.
Basque Sheep's Milk Cheese, Ossau-Iraty: A semi-firm sheep's cheese that offers a nice contrast.
