Galbani Bel Paese was created in 1906 by Egidio Galbani who wanted to produce a mild, delicate semi-soft cheese. It was formulated by Egidio Galbani in 1906 with the aim of creating a cheese that could rival those from the French Alps. 

The name Bel Paese comes from the title of a book written by Antonio Stoppani. It is Italian for "beautiful country", and is used as a phrase for Italy itself.

Bel Paese cheese goes well with fruits like apples, pears and figs. The portions are 28g each and perfect for picnics, melting into casseroles, hot paninis or onto your favourite pizza.
