Hand-made by Lynher Dairies in Cornwall and wrapped in nettle leaves. Cornish Yarg is creamy under the rind and crumbly at the core.

Suitable for vegetarians, made with pasteurised cows' milk. Wheel Dimension Guide: Depth: 7 cm, Diameter; 17.5 cm

Ingredients: Pasteurised Cows milk, Salt, Nettle leaves, DVI Starter, Culture, Vegetarian Rennet, Calcium chloride, Penicillium Candidum

A unique cheese made in the south of Cornwall, this cheese is pressed and brined and then wrapped in nettle leaves, hand-picked from the local area. The leaves are carefully brushed onto the cheese in a traditional pattern of concentric circles, attracting naturally occurring moulds which give Yarg its lacy good looks.

As the cheese matures, the edible nettle rind imparts a delicate, slightly mushroomy taste. By the time it is ready to eat some five weeks after the process began, Cornish Yarg has developed a unique appearance, with shades of blues, greens and a dusting of bloomy white.
