White pudding or Oatmeal Pudding is a meat dish popular in the north-east of England, Scotland, and Ireland. It is also popular in Cornwall, where it is known as Hogs Pudding.
Clonakilty Whitepudding was first created in 1986 and is made using traditional methods combining pork, oatmeal, onions and a blend of spices. This special blend of ingredients, the texture and the spicy taste of Clonakilty Whitepudding have made this delicacy an Irish favourite. It is very similar to black pudding, but does not include blood, and is popular as a breakfast item.
While traditionally served as part of a breakfast, Clonakilty Whitepudding can be a special addition to enhance any starter, salad or main course.
