This is a big cheese, so invite your loved ones around! Guide weight of @ 1.3Kg, it is sliced thru the middle and filled with a mixture of Mascarpone and pieces of truffle (2%).
The cheese is then left to work its magicfor around 10 days long. At the end of the ripening process, the cheese has absorbed the black truffle aromas, and is a slice of deliciousness !
What to drink with Brie Truffe? Excellent choices to enjoy with our Truffle Brie include sparkling wines, such as our Champagnes, and one of our full-bodied white wines such as an oaked Chardonnay, like our Babylonstoren Chardonnay, or one of our Dry Rieslings or Sauvignon Blancs. The crisp, bright acidity and fruity notes of these wines provide a refreshing contrast to the rich cheese.
Red Wines: Lighter red wines like Pinot Noir are popular choices. Choose one of our aromatic, light-to-medium-bodied Pinot Noirs. Its subtle fruity and earthy, mushroomy notes complement the truffle flavor without overwhelming the delicate cheese.
Aged Bordeaux or Brunello di Montalcino are also worthy partners: For a more substantial pairing, an aged red wine with earthy notes can work well, though a Red Burgundy (Pinot Noir) is generally considered a better balance as big, bold reds can sometimes overpower the brie.
