On line shopping ... we want to make it as pleasurable an experiance as possible, and one that mirrors the joys of shopping at Cheese and Wine.

This page gives step-by-step instructions for customers who have not ordered before, or have encountered difficulties. If at any time you need to speak to us (8.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday), please ring 01823 662899 and we will be pleased to help.

Overview

Our online store allows you to:

  1. Order goods for collection
  2. Order goods for delivery
    1. to your address
    2. to a single address
    3. to multiple addresses
  3. A combination of the above.

As such, when you have selected your goods, at the checkout, you will be requested to provide relevent information.

  1. Order goods for collection
    • Select your goods; once you have chosen all that you require, proceed to the checkout screen
    • If you have allready registered, log in. If you havent registered, do so.
    • After looging in, you will be asked for the date and time you need to collect the goods. Complete this information. (Please note, you must provide at least 4 hours notice from the time we receive your order to allow us to process your order)
    • You will be prompted for payment. Thats it! Just arrive and collect your goods.
  2. Order goods for delivery
    • You will be asked to supply a delivery address, which must include a Postcode. If the goods are for yourself, select "deliver to me".
    • If they are a gift, select "Add Address" and provide full details, including any message required.
    • You will be prompted for payment.
  3. Order goods for delivery and Collection
    • Once you have selected your goods, at the Checkout stage, you will be able "Group for Delivery" ALL items that you want to send to EACH address. 
    • After Grouping the items for your first address, Please tick the column "Group for Delivery". You will be asked to supply a delivery address, which must include a Postcode.
    • If they are a gift, select "Add Address" and provide full details, including any message required.
    • If you have multiple delivery addresses, you will be retirned to those items that are unallocated in your cart.
    • Please repeat this process until all goods are allocated address or collection dates and times.
    • You will be prompted for payment.

How to buy

Making a purchase could not be easier. To begin shopping, simply select the relevant category, (from the Catagory tree on the left of the screen, and once the list of products has appeared, click add on any items that you wish to buy. This will add them seamlessly to your shopping basket (on the right).

Items which require a weight to be selected, will have a 'more info and buy' link next to them. Clicking this will take you through to the product and its description. A weight for the item can either be selected or entered, and clicking 'add' will add the item + weight to your basket.

If at any time you wish to remove an item from your basket, just click on the (x) next to the relevant item.

After you have finished your selection, click on "Check Out" underneath your basket on the right.

Once on the checkout page, you will be required to login or register before proceeding to pay for your goods. This process enables us to connect you with your contact details and should make the process quicker and easier for you. The page will offer you three options:

Register - this is for new customers

Login - this is for returning customers who have used the site before and who have a password

Registration for new Customers

Before continuing to the payment page, we ask you to be registered and logged in. This requires simply your contact details and address, and to choose a password. The registration is very straight forward (a small form) and once you have registered, a welcome email will be sent to you. Meanwhile, you can proceed tothe checkpout process.

Payment

We accept credit card payment. We are only able to accept orders FOR DELIVERY within the UK at present. We accept Visa and Mastercard, Switch, Delta and Visa affiliated debit cards.

 We do not take payment from your credit until your parcel is packed.
