The search is on for the best delicatessen in Somerset.
The Global Cheese Awards, hosted at the Frome Cheese Show, have added a brand new class to its growing line-up and launched the Somerset Deli of the Year 2012 competition.
Through a series of undercover visits by committee' members, delicatessens across Somerset will be judged on their passion and flair for customer service, the quality and thought that has gone into selecting and displaying their product range, as well as product knowledge and community initiatives. Elements that will set the winning deli apart from its rivals will be creativity, originality and clever development of their retail offer.
The top three delicatessens will be invited to the Frome Cheese Show Trade Day on September 7, where one winner will be announced as the first ever Somerset Deli of the Year.
The Cheese and Wine Shop is proud to have been selected as one of three finalists in this competition, and are proud of the handsome plaque that was presented to celebrate this award.
