MOORES BISCUITSThe Moores family have been baking biscuits in Dorset since before 1860. The bakery in Morcombelake was established on 1880 where the fifth generation continues to make more than ten varieties of traditional Dorset biscuits. Arguably most famous for their Dorset Knobs, which are a Dorset institution. This unique savoury biscuit has been made by the Moores family since 1880. Each biscuit is individually moulded by hand and has three separate bakings lasting a total of four hours. The whole process taking eight to ten hours!
The Bakery also produces superb rich fruit cakes to complement the biscuits, presented in striking tins, many with a retro design. |
