While other gins are happy with merely a few of the nine primary gin elements present in the Botanist, for The Botanist, this is only the starting point. The Botanist recipe has 22 wild botanicals, indigenous to this small rocky hebridean island, Islay, including very own native juniper.
They then introduce this heady cocktail into our unique lomond pot still "Ugly Betty" as she is affectionately known to the Botanist team. Betty simmer distills the spirit exceptionally slowly and at remarkably low pressure. The result is an outstandingly smooth and floral gin of impeccable and quite unique provenance.
